Using these items, the player must fight against the creatures to obtain their meat and store it in their shack.

The rifle is useful for keeping creatures at bay, but it has a limited amount of ammunition. Lastly, the axe is the only way to obtain meat from the creatures, but it is also noisy and attracts more creatures.
